Troubleshooting

Recover the common first-run problems.

Most issues come down to the audio source, the GPU, or account state. Work through the matching item, then contact support if the expected result is still missing.

Captions do not start

If Preview stays empty after Start captions, confirm the chosen audio source is the one actually playing sound and that a Target language is set. Re-select the source if you changed devices.

  • Check audio source
  • Set Target language
  • Re-select device
Test sound

GPU not detected

XNN Translate uses a dedicated NVIDIA GPU when one is available and falls back to the processor otherwise. If captions run slower than expected, update your NVIDIA drivers and confirm the GPU meets the video-memory minimum.

  • Update GPU drivers
  • Check free VRAM
  • CPU fallback
Install requirements

Trial vs activated

If the app reports that activation is needed, open the Account panel and Sign in. A trial and an activated install behave the same for captions; the difference is account state, not setup.

  • Account
  • Activation state
